can’t say enough how much i missed posting cooking videos!
as we’re finalizing the holiday season, i wanted to share what i made for a dinner party we hosted for our friends visiting from toronto!
i’m sorry if this video will feel like A LOT because there was a lot of prep involved, but i’d be happy to answer any questions about the recipes or ingredients that i used!

here i shared small bits of menu and prep planning, culinary techniques that help make my cooking stress-free, which i hope can be useful for you too!!

roasted brussel sprouts over tzatziki sauce
– brussel sprouts (make sure to roast cut-side down till golden brown)
– sour cream 14%
– cucumber
– garlic
– S&P

mango chutney seared shrimps
– mango
– fresh mint
– garlic
– apple cider vinegar
– EVOO
– jumbo shrimps (spice mix: oregano, paprika, salt, pepper, EVOO)

charred octopus
– octopus
– daikon radish for marinade
– soy sauce, fish sauce, kombu for braising stock
– lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, S&P (for vinaigrette)

endive salad
– endive leaves
– anchovy
– ricotta
– garlic
– S&P
– toasted cashews
– blue cheese
– honey, mustard, EVOO (for vinaigrette)

mushroom risotto
– mix of seasonal mushrooms (i used king oyster and beech mushrooms)
– veg stock (i used fish stock)
– butter, EVOO
– finely chopped onion & garlic
– arborio rice
– white wine (dry)
– parmesan
